The Thistle Top Dress Sporran is one of the most popular as the thistle is synonymous with Scotland.
The cantle has refined bands of engraved Celtic knotwork which frame an exquisitely detailed thistle. Legend has it that the thistle won this pride of place in Scottish lore by helping to foil a stealthy Viking attack.
Please note, because natural materials are used in the crafting of this item, some colours and markings may vary. Sealskin front sporrans will have rolled tassels and bovine/equine sporrans will have split tassels - see images.
This sporran comes with a free chain strap.

Does everything it needs to do. If you export to the US, they substitute bovine (cow) fur, which feels and looks nice regardless. Very pretty shade of gray.
But regarding the strap and measurements. my proper waist is a 31.5, my waist where i wear pants is a 33. I felt that the small chain which they recommend up to a 34 was too small. Go with the bigger one-- its always easier to make it smaller than larger.joseph mcclain 09/04/2007 - From Scotweb
