The kilt hanger is a must. At first I thought that it was just a novelty, but once I received my kilt I can definitely see the need for the hanger. If you own a kilt and don't have a kilt hanger, I would tell you that you need to get one because it hangs the kilt nicely and wrinkle free. Stoney 03/05/2012

I have been using three of these hangers for over a year now to keep my best kilts in first class condition. They are so good that I have just ordered another for a kilt which is in the process of being made so that I will be able to store it perfectly from day one. I thought this item might have been reviewed enough ... I mean, it's a great product but how much can you really say about a hanger! But I recently had occasion to pack a kilt for several days on the road, and can say the hanger is of a size that packs nicely in the carrier and adds very little weight while making a tremendous contribution to keeping the garment in shape in hotel rooms. I bought several more of these kilt hangers so I would have one for each kilt I own. I am not disappointed, and neither will you be. These are the best way to hang a kilt, in my opinion, and keep the pleats straight and the aprons smooth without creases. When travelling I have even sometimes hung two kilts from the same hanger, to cut down on packed weight or save space, and never had one of my 16oz kilts come off the hanger. I found it a bit difficult to hang the kilt properly on this hanger the first couple of times, but after some trial and error I have now worked it out quite alright. The hanger seems to work at treat, especially due to the mere weight of the 16 oz /8 yard kilt which I suspect would make lesser hangers buckle. I own five kilts and made my own kilt hangers out of heavy duty coat hangers, yardstick rulers cut down to size, and office binder clips. Although they worked OK, they were a pain in the neck to use, as well as store. A good friend showed me his Kilt Hanger from SCOTWEB. I immediately ordered five. What a difference!!! They are extremely well made with size adjustable holders, and look smart,...but most important THEY DO THE JOB. Now I hang coats on the old hangers, used the yardstick rulers for kindling, and returned the binder clips to my office (shhhh,...don't tell anyone i borrowed office supplies). Have you ever attempted to hang your kilt on a skirt hanger? Don't bother, it just won't work. Can you imagine the weight of a 5 yard kilt in 16oz wool? Now multiply it to 8 yards and 18oz. We are talking serious weight. A simple skirt hanger will not do it. Do yourself a favour and get the real thing.

Fabulous service. 2 x Kilt hangers orders via the web site and they were delivered less than 48 hours later. Great invention - the clips are ideal to keep the kilts in shape and prevent undue stretching and sagging from being stored on the conventional hanger. I was scepticle at first but it's just the right length to fit my kilt and the four clips holds it well. My only problem is that the clips open up just wide enough to tightly insert my kilt, it would be easier and faster if they opened up much wider. But it does the job well and my kilt hasn't fallen from it yet and i doubt it ever will. Occidental 07/03/2008

The hanger is strong enough to hold even the heaviest kilt. The four pinch clips grip the waist band of my kilt firmly with no slipping or dangling. The wooden portion of the hanger is long enough to spread the pinch clips out across the fullnes of the kilt with no droop or sag. The hanhger is small enough that a shirt might be placed over the kilt to add protection to the kilt and to reduce space taken in the closet with multiple hangers. Jabal 06/10/2007

These things are great. When I originally bought my kilt I had it on just a regular pants hanger but it was not cutting it at all. The clasps were not strong enough to hold the weight of the kilt. This kilt hangar is good quality, and is actually better than the one pictured. It is gold plated and has four clamps to keep the kilt from becoming wrinkled... although $15.00 is a LOT of money for one hangar in my opinion, but what the heck, I bought it and I'm happy with it, and it will last a lifetime.

I liked my first kilt hanger so well, I ordered three more--not because they broke, but for other kilts! VERY strong, well finished item. I've always kept my kilts on the skirt hangers my wife gets when buying clothes but they are too narrow and only support part of the wasteband (or perhaps my wasteband is too large). These hangers support both sides of the kilt and the extra clip in the middle prevents the centre sagging and takes some of the weight so that the kilt does not slip through the clips and eventually fall from the hanger.
