This exclusive tartan was designed for Mel Gibson to wear as William Wallace in Braveheart, and is now available for purchase, direct from the traditional mill on Scotland's Isle of Islay.
It is made from pure wool, woven on Islay in a small family-owned mill. This mill is very traditional, using two looms that date to Victorian times.
This rug is an all-rounder that'll be comfortable and stylish, however you choose to use it, whether it be to keep you warm on colder days or sitting on to enjoy an outdoor picnic.
Dry clean only.
Islay Woollen Mill
The Islay Woollen Mill is a traditional family-run business and uses two looms dating from Victorian times. The Mill is situated just off the main Port Askaig road on the island of Islay, the southernmost island of the Inner Hebrides of Scotland. Much in demand by the Hollywood film industry, Islay Woollen Mill designs were featured in Braveheart, Forrest Gump and Rob Roy.
