The classic semi-formal Braemar jacket is tailored in Scotland from an internationally respected producer. Balmoral Kilts and Highland Dress is respected worldwide as one of the finest producers of specialist Scottish tailoring.

The semi-formal Braemar day / evening jacket is similar to the Argyll, but with Prince Charlie style cuffs for a formal look. Tailored from top quality 15 oz Barathea wool, this jacket will flatter any shape. Produced to traditional standards this jacket will keep its fit for many years to come.

*How we make it:** Our Braemar jackets are made from top quality Barathea 100% pure new wool cloth, with a single button on the front, two side vents, cuffs with 3 buttons, pocket flaps with 3 buttons, and braided epaulettes with shiny silver (nickel-plated) finished buttons. All buttons have washer and ring fittings.

When to wear it: The Braemar Jacket's formality can be altered by changing accessories. This makes it suitable for all sorts of occasions, such as dinners and Burns Suppers; balls, ceilidhs or other dances; weddings, graduations, or christenings; as well as Highland games or simply as general day wear.

What to wear it with: Wear it during the daytime with a kilt in any tartan, a day wear sporran, and an ordinary collar and tie. For a more formal look wear with a wing collared shirt and bow tie, plus semi-dress sporran, and ghillie brogues. Like the Argyll, the Braemar jacket is generally worn open.
