Brief Description		The McKeons in my family have been police officers for several generations. What Inspired the Design?		My desire to merge the Celtic tradition of Scottish tartan with the Celtic heritage of Ireland in general, and my own family in particular. My desire to merge the Celtic tradition of Scottish tartan with the Celtic heritage of Ireland in general, and my own family in particular.

Why did you choose these colours?
Forties Blue		Dark Police Blue, steely to invole the Navy as well
Pastoral Green		Green for the Irish Flag, St. Patrick, and Irish Catholicism
Sage Green		Linking Ireland to the dusty greens of California
Putty Yellow		For the Irish Flag, The Eucharist, the Police Dept.
Muted Yellow		For the Irish Flag, Heaven, the Chalice
Black		For the Police Dept, for the penitence of our faith

What meaning does the number or arrangement of lines have, if any?		Crosses appear in threes for the Most Holy Trinity: gold crosses are centered on the green squares in tribute to the faith brought to us from Ireland, white crosses against blue are reminders of St. Michael's patronage of the police force.
