| Title (Provisional) |
Brown of the South East (Modern) | |
|---|---|---|
| Designed By | SkyeHighlandOutfitters | |
| Brief Description | This is an official sept tartan of the Clan Brown (Broun) as granted favor by Sir Wayne Brown (Clan Chief of Clan Brown (Broun). Tartan and official written permission have been submitted to the STA. This tartan is the same thread count as the Clan Brown tartan, but with the reversal of the green and the red colors in the sett. It is to commemorate the massive amount of Browns located in the S.E. sector of the United States of Scottish background. It is an official sett, so it is open to all those of Clan Brown, or with a Brown (Broun) sir name. | |
| What Inspired the Design? | Reversing the green and red gives this sept tartan a color scheme that matches the South East part of America's colors. The Appalachia and the evergreen pines, with red denoting the tragedies of the Cherokee, Choctaw, and Creek removal, as well as those from the SE who have lost their lives to war from the Civil Warr up to Iraqi Freedom. | |
