Title
(Provisional)
Buchanan, John & Isabella (Sett 003) Symmetrical
Designed By Graham A. Robieson
Brief Description I designed this tartan to commemorate John & Isabella Buchanan, it was recorded firstly by Keith Lumsden at the Scottish Tartans World Register on 4th November 2005.
What Inspired the Design? They inspired me to design my own tartan, they were known as uncle Jack and auntie Bella, the colours consist of uncle Jack's past when he was in the RAF during World War 2, but also the lasting marriage to auntie Bella until they both passed away in 2004.
Why did you choose these colours?

Dodger Blue

Red

White

Yellow

Navy

Black
What meaning does the number or arrangement of lines have, if any? The RGB of this tartan is as I designed it on my computer. Even though that different websites have different array of colours used in displaying the tartan, this gives me a chance to update with more acurate information.
Does it represent a group or event (business, club, wedding, etc.)? I was having a conversation with them some years ago, about Clans & Tartans and uncle Jack said that he didn't like the Buchanan tartan because there was too much Yellow in it, but auntie Bella liked the Boyd tartan and was fond of the Pipes, her favourate tune was the 'Skye Boat Song'.
Is it associated with a locality (city, region, country etc.) No answer given yet.
How do you plan to use it (garments, furnishings, etc)? I got it weaved originally at Geoffrey (Tailor) Highland Crafts Ltd.
Do you expect to weave it, or produce it in other ways? No answer given yet.
