Semi-dress sporrans are the perfect compromise between casual and formal. They have all the luxurious materials of a full dress sporran in the versatile shape of a casual sporran. Perfect for any highland event from semiformal to completely casual, this sporran is the most adaptable you'll ever own.
The beautifully crafted thistle badge is the ideal ornamentation for a proud Scottish accessory. This hardy flower earned its place in Scottish lore when it helped foiled a stealthy, barefoot attack on an ancient king and his men.
The chrome thistle, ball tassels and silky sealskin add subtle sophistication to this semi-dress sporran, creating an elegant accessory for semiformal events or a casually snazzy one for daytime.
Please note that as we cannot export sealskin to the US we will substitute this withl a material of an equally high standard. As we use only the finest natural materials, the colours may vary according to season.

Scotweb’s MD, Dr Nicholas J Fiddes, has written a free illustrated e-book, as a gift to help kilt lovers everywhere. In simple non-technical language it covers every aspect of buying a kilt, choosing your tartan, and accessorising an outfit for every occasion.
As a Governor of the Scottish Tartans Authority, and founder of the world’s first company to market kilts on the Internet (yes, Scotweb) no one is better qualified to offer such advice. Impartial and objective, this is a personal work and is not a Scotweb publication.
My husband could not believe the Sporran. He absolutely loved the color and detailing. Of course, he had to explain teh purpose of it to our children which was rather interesting LOL.

This is an attactive and practical sporran that easily carries all the necessaries: wallet, keys, change, handkerchief, cell phone, etc. Whether or not it is the maker's intention, the tassles are easily removable for a plainer appearance if desired. The only problem I have experienced is that the inside end of the tassle chains can be quite sharp, so if you're going into the sporran frequently, you will sooner or later end up with some scratches or fingernail tears. A piece of heavy tape over the inside end of the chains takes care of this risk neatly and can be removed whenever you choose to remove the tassles.
