There's nothing more impressive than a kilt - unless of course it's a kilt that you've made for yourself. Whether you plan on making this kilt for yourself or as a thoughtful gift for someone else, our fantastic and comprehensive kit provides absolutely everything you'll need.
Firstly choose the fabric from our huge range of tartans and a matching lining colour. We provide you with a selection of four classic colours and the canvas interfacing for between the lining and tartan - for an authentic, weighty kilt. We also provide the straps and buckles for the perfect finishing touches.
The book, "The Art of Kiltmaking" tells you everything you need to know about making your kilt, including a pattern for the classic 8 yard kilt. Not only do our great books guide through the process, they also give you the patterns for a Prince Charlie jacket, a full length kilted skirt and kilt hose - so you can make a full highland outfit.

I can't vouch for the rest of the kit - though it looks like a great deal - though I can speak for the included book, The Art of Kiltmaking. The book is fantastic! I've made several kilts following this book, and a couple with the free addendum on four-yard box pleated kilts. The instructions are great, and easy to follow. I had never actually sewn anything prior to the first kilt I made (with cheaper fabric first!) With the instructions from this book, and a little help from others on how to actually make the stitches, I was able to make a decent first kilt, and they've only improved since.
