Technical Details
Your kilt combines hand-stitching and machine stitching for the best possible results, though if you prefer the slight uneven character full hand-stitching is available as an option. For a perfect hang, we fit two sturdy leather straps and buckles on the waist, and one on the hip. The front edge has two fringes in the authentic tradition (see image right) and we add two belt loops at the back so it all stays neat. We normally pleat 'to sett' which most kilt wearers prefer, but just ask for pleats to stripe or to horizontal at no extra charge! Or we offer military box pleats for a 50 pound surcharge.

I love this kilt! I already had a casual kilt, made of synthetic fiber, but this is tremendously better. It fits like it was made just for me--which it was! The packing and shipping were fine, no damage, no delay. Scotweb was much more economical than kiltmakers in the U.S. and provided superb service. I can wear this on silly occasions as a costume (as in my photo), but I plan to make the most use of it for formal occasions with my Argyle jacket, dress sporan and all the rest of the outfit. I ordered a swatch first and when I was satisfied with the tartan, I went for the full kilt--and got the purchase price of the swatch deducted from that of the kilt.

These guys are the BEST. Customer service was excellent and they rushed my order in on time. Buying clothes online is a bit tricky but scotweb made it really easy thanks to their instructional videos. Needless to say I got A LOT of attention and won't ever go back to wearing normal suites again.

This is my first woollen kilt, and the feel of the material is amazing. It fits perfectly and feels great to wear. ScotWeb patiently worked with me to correct my measuring errors (I said I was 6'6" tall instead of 66", oops). Great experience and an even better kilt!

I ordered an Ancient Campbell tartan from the Batli mill. In the picture it looks much darker because it is a closer up picture than the others. So, while lighter in colour, the colours were vibrant, tailoring excellent and the material impressive. I am ordering another for my son in time for my daughter's wedding this summer. These are truely fabulous kilts.
