During my National Service, in 1952, I served for a while in the Kings Own Scottish Borderers at Berwick on Tweed, and of course wore tartan "trews". Now, 55 years later, I thought it would be nice to have a special pair of trousers made for golf, in the Regimental Tartan which is Leslie Modern. The trousers arrived today and are superb. The fit, made exactly to my own measurements, is exact and the whole feel is one of distinguished comfort. I can't wait for next Monday, hoping the weather will be better, to show off my new tartan trousers to my golfing partners.
