A traditional Highland cup, used by chiefs to both welcome and bid farewell to their guests, this quaich is beautiful and traditional. Using tartan, Scotland's famous fabric, as inspiration, this quaich is a celebration of Celtic heritage.

The word quaich comes from the Gaelic "cuach" for cup and is traditionally used to serve whisky or brandy. Sir Walter Scott was famous for dispensing wee drams to his guests in silver inlaid quaichs.

Whether you plan to welcome guests to your home with a bit of warming whisky, or even if you just appreciate the fine traditionalism, this tartan inspired quaich is a superb addition to any home.

Quaichs make very beautiful and unusual gifts and nothing makes a gift more special than engraving. We can arrange engraving at a charge of 30p (0.3 UK pounds) per letter, with a minimum charge of 5 pounds. We surcharge this after ordering; it is not shown on the checkout page, but will be on your receipt email after your order is charged. By default, the engraved text will be around the outside of the bowl but if you would prefer your message on the base, inside the bowl, or on a matching plinth (purchased separately), and we will be happy to arrange this. Engraving also adds 1-2 weeks onto the delivery time.
