Description

This stylish brooch shows the Luckenbooth heart which has been used since the 16th Century. The name comes from the locking booths or small shops - a feature of Edinburgh's Royal Mile. Originally the heart shaped luckenbooth was given at weddings and engagements as a token of love. From the 18th century onwards they were worn to protect against evil spirits.

Available in 9ct Gold or Silver.

The jewellery is made by craftsmen using techniques and methods handed down over decades, and every piece is hand finished.
