'The Wallace Monument' Cross Stitch Kit

The 220 ft. (67m) Wallace Monument was built between 1859 and 1869 to the design of Glasgow architect J.T. Rochead.   It stands high on Abbey Craig overlooking the site of the old Stirling Bridge where in 1297 Scotland's greatest patriot, William Wallace, soundly defeated a nominally much superior English army led by the Earl of Surrey and Treasurer Cressingham.
