Description
We love everything about this top quality fully tailored jacket. The stylish cut. The flattering fit. The leather buttons. But mostly, we just can't say enough about the wonderful authentic Harris Tweed fabric.
Harris Tweed is one of the rarest and most loved fabrics in the world. To carry the name, by Act of Parliament, Harris Tweed must be hand-woven by the islanders of Lewis, Harris, Uist and Barra, in the far-flung Outer Hebrides of Scotland. Weaving is still by hand in the crofters' cottages, using pure virgin wool that has been dyed and spun locally. Every jacket carries a unique Orb label, that identifies the islander who wove its fabric. It is the world's only commercially produced hand-woven tweed.
Hundreds of distinctive patterns have evolved over the centuries, in its characteristically coarse but subtle designs in complex natural shades. We are offering four of the most popular colourways, two in a herringbone pattern and two elegantly flecked.
This stylish jacket is 100% handwoven Harris tweed with a nylon lining. It features side vents, side flap pockets, two front buttons and three buttons on each cuff. Available in chest sizes 38 to 50, in three fittings.

The basic process is explained below. But if you find it hard for any reason, just contact us and we will be happy to either advise you or else place your order for you. (Calls from the UK or North America are free!)
We divide the buying process into two main stages:
1. Select products & Add to Basket
- Find your product
- Optional: specify fabric, sizes, etc.(Choose Options button, top right)
- Add item to your Basket (Add to Basket button, top right)
- (Repeat, to add more items)
- Adjust quantities in Shopping Basket (if required)
2. From Basket, proceed to Check Out
- Go to the Checkout (Checkout Now button, in Basket)
- Specify Delivery Address and Shipping Method
- Specify Payment details
- Confirm

We have three main ways of giving you extra information:

I bought the Barva jacket for the cool evenings travelling. It is a wonderful garment, the quality is great and it was exceptional value from Scotweb (I am a Cornishman and like the Scots we have a reputation for being careful with our money, the same is available elsewhere, but is considerably more expensive, many thanks Scotweb!) my only problem is that I would like to wear it more often, Dubai is a little too warm to wear it more often, Highly recommended purchase, Best Regrds, Mike Rowse, Dubai Andrew S , Yass, NSW

Recently, I purchased a Barva jacket by mail order. It replaces two much older Harris Tweed jackets that, sadly, are too now worn to continue service. I was heartened that the size would probably be right, following the purchase of a lighter weight tweed jacket from Scotweb in London. I am absolutely delighted with the new jacket and have found reasons to wear it even though our weather is getting a tad too warm. Its cut, material and timeless style are spot on and it has attrated favourable comments from friends; so much that after trying mine a friend has now ordered one as well. I am also delighted that these new weaves are now available; they are a true testament to Scots craftmanship and tradition. Bought one a couple years ago and it is still my favorite winter jacket - warm and comfortable but stylish. Highly recommended. Harris Tweed is the best for cold weather!
