The Sgian Dubh, or sock knife, first appeared in military use in around 1800 and is worn in kilted dress uniforms today. The knife has a traditional serrated blade and horn handle and is supplied gift boxed with an embossed leather sheath.
As these are made from natural materials there will be some variation in colour and markings, guaranteeing a unique product every time.

I love this Sgian Dubh! I was surprised at the black color of the handle compared to the picture, but it was a wonderful surprise at that, for it matched my Kilt outfit better. A great traditional Scottish Sgian Dubh!
