Based on the online photos I expected it to be larger and was a little concerned that it would be bulky and gaudy, but it is smaller than the images make it appear and seems the perfect size. The detail, colouration, and overall appearance are excellent. Being a little more rustic than the black handled sgian dubhs, it seems perfectly suited for someone from a borders clan.

Excellent, the imitation stag looks exactly like the real thing. The crest is amazing, it really makes the piece stand out. Only thing I would have liked is for it to have come with at least a mild edge to the blade. It can be sharpened though so no major point loss.

I absolutely love this sgian dubh! It goes well with daywear and matches the staghorn buttons on my tweed argyll jacket which is great! I recommend this to any Scot out there!
