well pleased with this strap sizing is very accurate, order your kilt size you wont be wrong. Excellent price for an item that will last for years.

We ordered a length of the James Hare (3oz Featherweight silk) in Gunn modern. Overall it is excellent value for the money. The fabric has a nice hand --and actually feels a bit heavier than other silks marketed as 3oz-- and an even weave. Sadly the Gunn modern has rather dark colors --a brighter tartan, or a tartan with more color contrast would probably really benefit from the lustre of the silk. Th fabric seems to be an excellent choice for trimming a summer hat or would probably work well with a lady's (formal) skirt. It is definitely the sort of silk that rustles when it moves. A good choice for certain types of dressmaking. (Probably a little too stiff for any kind of A-LIne pattern however.) All in all, good quality. Wish more choices were available.

The general quality & dimensions of this sash -as opposed to smaller, lighter and shorter sashes commonly available-- makes the title of "luxury" sash something more than a generic superlative. This is not a generic sash; it is a luxury sash. From the rolled edges to the extended length --which makes different draping techniques possible-- this sash is what a sash should be. The most appealing (and subtle) factor may be that the tartan is centered so the sash has a balanced look as well as a comfortable heft.

My eldest son wanted to get married wearing a kilt. We could not find a Canadian supplier who could meet our timeline, but I was very reluctant to order tailor-made clothing by mail order. I purchased one casual and two luxury kilt packages. There were minor problems in placing the order, but these were quickly and smoothly sorted out. The total price was comparable to what I would have paid for similar outfits in Canada. The order was a bit later than planned, but we had allowed plenty of lead-time, so not a problem. When the order arrived and we tried everything on, we were thrilled. All clothing items fit exactly as measured. On wedding day, we looked and felt great. My kilt package is now my "dress" wear for special occasions. My sister insists that I wear it to her wedding, too. My wife loves it when I wear my kilt when we go out. Its been worn to rock concerts, neighbourhood strolls, church events, and even a baseball game. A 20-something young lady referred to me as "one bad-assed looking dude" to her friends, and I'm 55 !!! Last week I saw a so called casual kilt made by one of your cheaper competitors. It looked like a dish rag. Just not the same as a well made kilt - like mine. I purchased this stunning brooch at short notice for my daughter as a special presentation at her wedding.
