Clan Crest Cuff Links
Jabal, Canada (29 October '07)
While I am pleased with the cufflinks, they are a bit larger and heavier than I expected.
Clan Crest Stick Pin
Jabal, Canada (29 October '07)
Like other pieces I have seen from Ronnie Hek, this is a classic piece. The colours of the feathers he selected for the pin are especially great for my Ferguson weathered tartan.
Essential Scotweb Tartan Tam
Jabal, Canada (29 October '07)
While this "Balmoral" piece is of the highest quality, I was a bit disappointed at the weight of the Tam. Their flat hat has a padding to help hold the shape, and the Tam should similarly receive the same treatment. As is, the weight of a Clan Hat Badge will be too much for the 8 oz tartan. The 'pom' is a perfect shade of green for the weathered Ferguson tartan.
Tartan Fabric
Jabal, Canada (29 October '07)
The weaver's name 'ibuch' is all that is needed to recognize quality. My tailor is pleased with the material he will be working with.
Clan Crest Plaid Brooch
Jabal, Canada (29 October '07)
The 'brooch' looks great. I ordered mine with topaz stones and they had a good colour and stance with my 'weathered Ferguson'plaid. The stones don't seem to be set into the brooch, but rather seem to be glued into their sockets. Will getting wet in unexpected rain be too much of a test for the security of the stones? This said, the brooch meets the expected quality and exceeds that of some of the competition.
Luxury Jacobite Pouch Sporran
Jabal, Canada (29 October '07)
Prepared from a good grade of Black Leather with good workmanship. The supplied strap/belt is a tad short for a size 42-44 inch waist, and is of a lesser grade of leather. I don't think the strap/belt will stand up to heavy daily wear. After a bit of wearing, I'll decide if the centre tassel closure is a wee bit too long. When the sporran/pouch is empty the centre tassel hangs well below the sporran/pouch.
Economy Black Wing Collar Shirt
Iaindriverbus, West Wales (28 October '07)
Good fit and good quality, you can use cufflinks on it too. Just the ticket!!
Clan Crest Lapel or Tie Pin
aussiechef67, Canberra Australia (28 October '07)
Excellent and cute pin. I use it for a tie pin and it looks great.
Luxury Solid Colour Flashes
aussiechef67, Canberra Australia (28 October '07)
Good quality and well made. Good value for the price paid. Word of warning for those big legged footballers - the garter is not as wide as you may need. Perhaps you can request larger fit?
Essential Scotweb Fine Wool Tartan Scarf
aussiechef67, Canberra Australia (28 October '07)
A lovely light weight scarf. Ideally suited to Australian winters. Not sure if it is thick enough for the northern hemisphere, but is exactly what I wanted. Very good quality fabric and correct interpretation of tartan.
