I purchased this kilt as part of a complete formal "Prince Charlie" outfit for my wedding. Simply put, the Balmoral 8 yard Kilt is the finest garment I have ever owned, and am ever likely to own. The fabric was custom-woven according to my family tartan. Then it was tailored to perfection according to the measurements I provided. The workmanship is exquisite; the fit is superb. My bride and I kept my outfit a secret from my family -- I own a tuxedo which everyone presumed I would wear. When we appeared together for our procession, with my family seeing the kilt and my entire outfit for the first time, my bride watched my father (a 1st generation Scottish-American) for his reaction -- I knew that if I looked at him he would avert his gaze. She later told me that the look on his face was absolutely beautific: the pride and joy he felt in seeing me so attired was palpable. It is a lifelong garment and a family heirloom that I and my descendants will treasure forever.
