The Saltire, known throughout the world as an emblem of Scotland, has a great legend and is a proud emblem that makes for a classic and timeless cufflinks.

Made from Rhodium, a member of the platinum family, these cufflinks have the same great look as silver but are far more hard wearing for a long lasting accessory. The limited palette makes for sophisticated cuff links that will add Celtic elegance to any outfit and do the Saltire legend proud.

According to myth, the Saltire became commonly used as the Scottish national flag after a battle between the Picts and Northumbrians. St Andrew appeared to King Angus the night before the battle and the following day, during the battle, a white cross appeared against the blue. When the Picts won this battle, they began using the Saltire, or St Andrews cross, as a symbol for Scotland.
