Instant charisma
The full eight yards means crisp deep pleats, for that real kilt swing as you move. If it's your first kilt, you won't believe how often its magnetic attraction makes you new friends.
Choose with confidence
We make it easy. Our expert staff answer all questions, complex or trivial. Plus we check every order with care, to contact with you if we spot any queries. We were the **world's first** firm to market kilts online (in 1995). So trust us - for this, you want to deal with experience!
Technical Details
For a perfect hang, we fit two leather straps and buckles on the waist, and one on the hip. The front edge has two fringes in the authentic tradition (see image right) and we add two belt loops at the back so it all stays neat. We pleat 'to sett' which most kilt wearers prefer, but just ask for pleats to stripe or to horizontal at no extra charge! Or we offer military box pleats for a 50 pound surcharge.

1. all around our site you’ll see little ‘info’ icons (like this:
) with help relevant to the place you see it; clicking one will normally pop up a help box, keeping you on the same page;
2. we have a large, fully searchable, Information Centre, linked at the top of every page, covering product advice, customer services, site navigation, and much more; try searching for the topic of your query (e.g. “returns”).

Scotweb’s MD, Dr Nicholas J Fiddes, has written a free illustrated e-book, as a gift to help kilt lovers everywhere. In simple non-technical language it covers every aspect of buying a kilt, choosing your tartan, and accessorising an outfit for every occasion.
As a Governor of the Scottish Tartans Authority, and founder of the world’s first company to market kilts on the Internet (yes, Scotweb) no one is better qualified to offer such advice. Impartial and objective, this is a personal work and is not a Scotweb publication.

I love this kilt. I read in another review to order small because the buckles will go larger than your size but not smaller. I have found this no to be true. I would suggest adding one inch for growth, but that's just me. Great look and feel, though. Would highly reccomend. Choose from 120 quality fabrics, including:
