As many people may know, the UK still exists in something of a limbo between the Imperial and Metric measures when it comes to everyday life, and we are all to aware that both here and around the world each person has their own preferred unit of measurement. Previously we've offered all of our tartan and tweed fabrics by the metre in accordance with out mill's chosen measurements, however we understand that for our friends in North America, who use Yards, this isn't always the easiest way to work. At the same time, for our fellow Europeans and other officially Metric countries the Metre remains the ideal solution. So how can you please everyone you say? Read on to find out...
Introducing 'Tartan Fabric - Any Length'! Now when you are looking for a length of cloth you can select your preferred unit of measurement - either Yards of Metres. There's no need to worry about working out the conversions - we'll do it all for you! We've even gone one step further to help you get exactly the cloth length you need, so now you'll find that you can order the exact metrage or yardage to one decimal point for all lengths of cloth above a metre (or 1.1 Yards).
As this change is new we've included a handy guide to help you order what you need on the product page, but as usual we'd love to hear any feedback you have on the change.!
