Classic Clan Argyll Kilt Outfit

My traditonal 8 yard Balmoral kilt is by far the most expensive single garment I have ever purchased, it is also the best value for money garment I have and easily the highest quality. I cannot fault anything about it at all. The staff at Scotweb have been fantastic and very knowledgable in helping out an ignorant Englishman with no apparent family connection to Scotland at all. As there is no Scots connection and there was no tartan in my family name I went for Spirit of Scotland Modern as my tartan of choice, it is beautiful. The kilt itself is just so comfortable and a very substantial and well made garment. My initial nervousness on first wearing it out in public soon dissappeared as I felt that great confidence boosting "swish". And I can honestly say I have never had so much attention from the opposite sex on a night out in town (and that despite my good lady being with me). A couple of people have asked me why on Earth I would want a kilt when I have no Scots blood in me at all, well all I can say is that until you try it don't knock it, it is the most comfortable thing I have worn, love it to bits. Okay I'm not Scottish, not even remotely Celt by the look of it, but I don't care, I will wear my kilt with pride. Many thanks Scotweb.

What a beautifully crafted kilt! It's everything I could have ever hoped for, the eight-yard is such an indulgence. After having worn this any other kilt would be a let down - I'm afraid I will only be able to buy them here from now on.

I received my kilt in great time, even though it was a custom weave. It is a well built 16 oz. weight kilt. The pleating is well done, pleated to sett with the lines matching perfectly.

I just recieved my Kilt, it arrived a little late, had a few delays, but it was well worth it. It is of the most excellent quality, and my boyd tartan is the most beautiful one in the world to my eyes, and also, my flashes make me stand out, as all of my companions that are kilted have a standard color flash.

Yesterday, I received my traditional 8 yard Balmoral Kilt with flashes,....a full 2 weeks before the expected dispatch date. Since the day I first ordered it I would go to the "Member's Area" daily, to see the status of my order. I was like a child counting the days before Christmas. This past weekend was a national holiday here in the States (July 4th, Independence Day) and my access to the internet was interupted all weekend long. When I went to work on Monday I immediately went to the Scotweb site to check the status of my order. My heart took a leap when I saw that my kilt was dispatched on the previous Friday. I was glad that I took advantage of the "Priority International Courier", which allows you to track your order when it is dispatched (well worth the cost). The tracking option told me that my kilt was scheduled to arrive that very day. I quickly made an excuse to go home (shhhhh,....don't tell anyone) so I could be there when it arrived. When I finally got home there was a note on my door that told me I just missed the delivery (the Priority International Courier has a clause for a signature which doesn't allow a package to be left unattended, which, considering the cost of the kilt is very wise.) I then jumped in my car and made the trip to the delivery carrier office and waited for the truck to return from it's rounds of deliveries. When it finally returned, I retrieved my package, went out to the parking lot, opened it, and tried on my new kilt, right then and there!!! This is my second kilt ordered from Scotweb (my first being the 5 yard casual Balmoral kilt-16 oz. weight). Immediately, I noticed the differences. The pleats were tighter, the 11 oz. weight was about the same as my previous order (at least to my eye), the quality and craftsmanship were consistant with the casual kilt, but somehow looked smarter. I knew that the casual kilt would be my casual wear but this 11 oz. traditional 8 yard Balmoral Kilt would be my "dress-up-and-look-good" more formal wear. To be honest, both kilts are great for any function, but the 8 yard kilt has added more kick to my swagger. It pays to but the best. What are you waiting for????

I ordered this with the vest but returned the latter because i decided i didn't need it. The jacket is well cut and fit me nicely. (6ft tall, ordered a regular fit) I wears nicely with a kilt and i recommend it.

Purchasing the above plus vest from you has been an excellent experience. Both the Jacket and waistcoat arrived in first class condition and both fit perfectly. Moreover both were delivered about 3 weeks ahead of the original estimated delivery date. The whole procedure from purchase selection through to delivery has been excellent and many other retail websites could learn a lot from yours. All I can say is 'sorry' to the Americans who can't order this one. This is a wonderful sporran althought it will take a little wearing to reduce that new stiffness from the leather and to . It is called a semi-dress but I have found it easily versatile enough to wear as a dress sporran. Nice size for keys, wallet, phone and most importantly...... flask.

This is a very nice sporran. The crest starts to bend if you dont snap it carefully each time you open it. All in all looks fantastic and wears great!

I absolutely love my sporran!! It is very high quality, the family crest on it is gorgeous, and i've worn it in every situation, from ultra formal, to dressed right down, and it always looks appropriate. Plenty of room to hold a big wallet, my cell phone, and keys, plus some lose change. Aside from the kilt itself, it's the thing I'm most proud of in my outfit. BTW, the picture makes it look like there might be some blue stones in each of the dangly balls, but it's just the reflection of the light..The ornaments are a solid polished silver colour.

Looks very good, feels comfortable when worn. I liked everything about this although I would rather have seen a more lenticular (cross-section) blade rather than a 'table-knife' flat steel blade. Otherwise, the crest looks great, the cairgorm is flashy and overall is very attractive.

Wore these for the first time on New Year's Eve to a dance. I was expecting to come home with a few blisters, but not one, they turned out to be so comfortable giving me no problems all night, What can I say other than brillant.One small problem ! had to do a Goggle search to find out how to lace them !!!!!

Thank you for your prompt and friendly service with exchanging a pair of Brogues which I had purchased as a gift for my son. I had ordered the incorrect size and needed to return them for the proper size. We had an event at which he needed to wear them, but I was concerned that you would not receive the returned pair and ship the replacement pair in sufficient time for him to have. To make it work, your staff sent me a pair while the original pair was in transit back to you. We have received the replacement pair and are in fine shape! You are to be complimented for your customer-friendly service.

Fabulous. Nice hefty weight, great detail - looks better in real life than in the picture. I was initially going to buy my own belt to go with it but I have included an embossed Scotweb belt to go with the buckle on my next order of kilt etc. for my son.

This is an outstanding accent to any kilt dress. Please note, the web picture doesn't give the detail justice... it's even better than the picture. I did find the fit to my belt a bit sloppy due to the size of the slide. HOWEVER, belt thicknesses do vary, and a velcro tab on the back solved the problem easily. I highly recommend this buckle... take pride in your Scottish hertiage!

Anybody who hangs a kilt needs this hanger. It is easy to use, accommodates the entire kilt, and keeps it hanging neatly. No more messing with make-shift hangers for me. This item is a must for the kilt !

I own five kilts and made my own kilt hangers out of heavy duty coat hangers, yardstick rulers cut down to size, and office binder clips. Although they worked OK, they were a pain in the neck to use, as well as store. A good friend showed me his Kilt Hanger from SCOTWEB. I immediately ordered five. What a difference!!! They are extremely well made with size adjustable holders, and look smart,...but most important THEY DO THE JOB. Now I hang coats on the old hangers, used the yardstick rulers for kindling, and returned the binder clips to my office (shhhh,...don't tell anyone i borrowed office supplies). But you'll tell everyone about SCOTWEB Kilt Hangers. They're great!!!
