Charges & Currencies

We charge all orders in UK Pounds Sterling. You may see prices displayed in other currencies, which can be set at the top of every page. These advisory prices are converted at current exchange rates. But the actual charge in your local currency will be calculated by your bank when we confirm and place the order.

VAT (Sales Tax) is automatically included in prices in UK Pounds or Euros. If you live outside the Eurozone, you are exempt from paying VAT and it will not be charged for orders sent to outside the EU.

You are responsible for any import duties or other local taxes charged by your own customs or jurisdiction.

Schedules & Deadlines

We try hard to provide accurate and reliable indications of expected dispatch schedules. And if you notify us of a desired deadline, we will do our best to tell you honestly whether we believe we can meet it, and to do so if we can. However, due to the traditional artisan nature of our supply lines, we cannot guarantee production and delivery schedules. We can never refund or cancel made-to-order items due to lateness. And we cannot ever offer compensation due to consequential costs of lateness.

Returns & Refunds

We offer a no-quibble four week return guarantee on all stock items. For made-to-order items we can accept returns only if faulty or not made to the specifcations you have ordered. We normally provide measuring guides where necessary, and it is important you follow these. (Never rely on the advice of a third party, as their may use different measures.) If in doubt, please ask for advice. All returns should be made via our Returns system in the Members’ area.

Scotweb Points

Scotweb Points are a goodwill scheme whereby we offer you incentive discounts on future orders, up to the entire product value. Scotweb Points have no legal standing or value, and in the event of calculation errors we reserve the right to adjust individual balances, as required.

Colour Variations

Unless we specifically give you individual written (i.e. email) undertakings in a particular case, colours and shades displayed on this site cannot be guaranteed to be accurate. For many reasons, colours of actual goods you receive might on occasion differ significantly from what you have seen in an image. We cannot accept returns of Made to Order goods because they are not the colour or shade you expected. We advise the pre-ordering of fabric swatches or other samples if colours are important to you, and we will be happy to help advise you personally in any instance where you are uncertain.

Tartan Design Rights

You may use our online Tartan Designer freely, and use your designs in any way you choose. Note that you establish a legal interest in the design only after you have had it physically woven. Publishing a design in our Gallery gives you no special claim. Also, we shall assume your approval that we may use it in any way we choose, unless and until you send us evidence that it has been produced, and notify us that you wish to restrict us from producing it ourselves.

Scotweb accepts no legal liability or obligations of any kind for any damage or losses caused directly or indirectly by products or services marketed on this site, whether by their supply or by any failure to supply.
