Long Skirts

For formal occasions, we have a stunning range of made-to-measure long skirts available in both tartan and tweed. Our Hostess pleated skirts and our 'Charlotte' straight skirts are some of our best selling garments and are perfect for when an occasion calls for formal wear.

Our Hostess skirt is particularly popular for ceilidhs, especially when worn with a jabot blouse and tartan sash, and it is our most traditional option. It sits to around ankle length or longer, and the pleats mean it looks especially attractive when dancing,

The 'Charlotte' skirt is of a similar length but is straight cut, with a single vent at the back. It is perfect for evening wear when worn with a corresponding stole or a matching clutch bag.

Both these skirts are handcrafted from the finest Scottish tartans and tweeds by Balmoral, which is based in the heart of Scotland's capital.
